We are currently seeking experienced and passionate Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTAs) to support pupils across primary and secondary school settings in Newark, Nottinghamshire.
About the Role:
As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting pupils’ learning, development, and wellbeing throughout the school day.
You may be responsible for working alongside class teachers to deliver engaging lessons, providing targeted support to individual pupils or small groups, and helping pupils overcome barriers to learning. Depending on the setting, you may also be required to lead lessons or activities in the absence of the class teacher, ensuring pupils remain engaged and supported.
As an HLTA, you will be expected to demonstrate confidence, initiative, and adaptability within the classroom. You will work closely with teachers and wider school staff to create a positive learning environment and ensure pupils receive the appropriate support to make progress.

Requirements:
To be considered for the role, we require the following:
- ✅ Minimum of 6 months’ experience working within a school or educational setting.
- ✅ Experience supporting children and young people with a range of learning needs.
- ✅ Confidence in supporting whole-class learning, small-group activities, and individual pupils.
- ✅ An Enhanced DBS certificate subscribed to the DBS Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
- ✅ Right to Work in the UK.
- ✅ Professional references that cover the past 24 months.
