The idea of going from a trainee teacher to a full-time class teacher can be somewhat daunting. Would you like to try a bit of supply teaching before you apply for your first permanent role? Textbook Teachers helps newly qualified teachers gain experience in different local schools, to build up confidence in various school environments. Many Early Career Teachers have told us that they really appreciate having this option and route to take before committing to their first official teaching role.
From the very start of joining Textbook Teachers, you will be fully supported by our friendly and experienced recruitment team. Our aim is to place you in different schools on a daily basis so that you can start gaining teaching experience on a supply basis. You will be responsible for teaching and covering a variety of year groups, depending on your preference and experience. The schools that we work with are supportive and welcoming! They are commutable from PE1, PE2, PE3, PE4, PE5, PE6, PE7, PE8.
Agency staff are required to complete mandatory online training courses and obtain a new Enhanced DBS certificate, if applicable. These are to help further your Safeguarding training and understanding before going into new schools.
