Job Description

Do you want to make a difference in the lives of young learners? We are looking for dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistants to help support local schools in Corby and surrounding areas (NN14, NN15, NN16, NN17, NN18)

About This Role

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, for example, you will work closely with class teachers and support the learning and development of pupils across a range of abilities. You will assist with lesson preparation and provide one-to-one small group support to help create an engaging learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support pupils with their educational and social development
  • Work closely with teachers to help deliver high-quality lessons
  • Help to assist in planning and delivering tailored interventions for the children
  • Help to manage classroom behaviour in line with the schools policy
  • Prepare learning materials and resources

Requirements:

  • Firstly, working with children and young people is essential to be considered for this role.
  • Secondly, knowledge and experience working with SEN children or vulnerable people would be desirable. You must be adaptable and provide excellent support for the children you are working with.
